Tantalizing Memories!

We've taken a bit of a hiatus from writing on the blog, but that doesn't mean we haven't been preparing and enjoying lots of scrumptious meals! On our most recentn family excursion, the whole gang was off in Mexico soaking up the sun, surf, and sand (the two youngest ones even ingested a bit of the latter!) One of my favorite aspects of the trip was being able to walk from our home base everywhere we needed to go. Within a few blocks, we could pick up fresh papaya and creamy baby bananas for breakfast, perfectly ripe avacados and tomatoes for mid-day snack with fresh tortillas or those delicious little rolls they sell on every corner, and fish or camarones right out of the bay and sold in the little alley fish shop for dinner. We all love to cook, and having our own kitchen and this easy access to quality fresh supplies mean lots of wonderful creations. Here are a few of our highlights, though I'm afraid the recipes can't be recreated unless the conditions we were in are perfectly met...you just have to be there!
